Publisher Description

The third book in the Heritage of Shannara tetralogy follows the separate quests of Wren, Coll, and Par Ohmsford and their uncle Walker Boh as ordered by the shade of Allanon. Wren, the gifted elf queen, must brave a demon-haunted jungle on her nearly impossible mission to retrieve the elves and bring them back to the land of men. The elves, in fear of evil beasts, are hiding behind the magical barriers of their city Arborlon on the island Morrowindl. Before all is through, Wren discovers that she herself is an elf, the granddaughter of Queen Ellenroh, while Coll, a prisoner Rimmer Dall, leads the villain to his brother Par, and Walker Boh rediscovers Paranor, the lost city of the Druids, by unwilling becoming one of them.

"A great read. As Walker Boh is charged with restoring Paranor, Wren Elessidil is charged with restoring the Elves, who disappeared decades before without a trace. In order to find them, she must gain control and use of the Elfstones. Once she does find them, however, she faces a nearly insurmountable task - helping the Elves escape from the island prison they call home which is infested by their own creations turned against them."

" This book was amazing! It did have some very sad parts that nearly made me want to cry, but over all, the book kept me on my toes and I continually wanted to read more! It was great and despite any sad parts the book may have, the book is worth the read! I highly recommend it and the two before it! "
