Publisher Description

Never have I beheld any spectacle which so forcibly taught the lesson of humility to man as a total eclipse of the sun. So said the author in this sensitive story of death and rebirth when humans come face to face with nature.

"This was my favorite among the saga. More light were given to the other characters such as Jasper and Rosalie, but most of all, I loved how the love triangle was more perceptible in this book. Really great."

" I love the twilight series and I've read this book many times and It almost never gets old. I have to admit this writing isn't for everyone but it pretty much reached my expectations. "

" Clearly the worst of the sequels, considering I could not bring myself to bother with the one after this. I became so bored with the whole thing, I no longer cared what happened to Bella or her annoying array of vampires and werewolves. (Edward, in particular, got more and more annoying as the books went along.) Some time after reading this, the first movie came out and we had crying teenagers in theatres and I began to roll my eyes at the insanity of it all. "

" Horrible book, bad writing, lame story. If I could give zero stars I would. Stephenie Meyer gives writers a bad name... no wonder other writers view her as a total hack. They're right on. Life is too short to read whiny drivel like this. "

About James Fenimore Cooper

James Fenimore Cooper (1789–1851), the first major American novelist, was the son of a wealthy landowner who founded Cooperstown, New York. He attended Yale and served in the navy before turning to writing, winning international fame with The Spy (1821). After The Pioneers (1823), public fascination with the character of Natty Bumppo led him to write a series of sequels that gradually unfold the entire life of the frontier scout.
