The Junior League of Willow Creek, Texas, is très exclusive. Undesirables need not apply. Fredericka Mercedes Hildebrand Ware (Frede to her friends) is a member beyond reproach...until her life begins to unravel. When her husband betrays her, steals her money, and runs off to places unknown, it's something Frede would prefer to keep under wraps. The last thing she needs is to become fodder for the JLWC gossip mill. And to make matters worse, there's only one person in town who stands a chance at helping her get revenge - Howard Grout, a tasteless, gold-chain-wearing lawyer who has bought his way into Frede's tony neighborhood. But there's a price: She has to get his tacky, four-inch-stiletto-and-pink-spandex-wearing wife, Nikki, into the Junior League.

The crème de la crème of Southern royalty should sit up and take notice, and hang on tight for this irresistible tale of getting in and getting even. Download and start listening now!

" I think I loved it so much because I can relate...... Not because I was in the junior league but because I'm from Texas and I know the type. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Andrea | 2/19/2014

" This book gives a humorous glance at the women in a "jr. league" in a Texas town. As a former Texan, I found the characters exaggerated, yet believable. There really are some women I knew growing up who would fit into the characters quite well! Once I got to Memphis, I loved the description of Texas women - they are "dripping in diamonds"! "

" This was an enjoyable read with a good plot and good character development. There were a few twists and turns I didn't see coming, as well as an ending that wasn't what I expected. The descriptions were good enough that I could visualize the scenes. Very fun! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Roxy | 1/16/2014

" This was a fun read! I gave it 4 stars because it's certainly one I would pass on to friends, but it's not a "keep and read again" book. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Tara | 12/8/2011

" i finished reading this on an airplane ride, and threw it right in the trash bin the moment i left the plane. i gave it two stars because there were two redeeming tidbits that i liked - manners and sweet tea (a southern tradition i found myself in during a recent visit to a friend). "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Corene | 10/17/2011

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jacquie | 6/9/2011

" This is a fine little book if you want something easy to read on a plane or for light summer reading. It's amusing in parts, though certainly not what I could call a "good" book in a larger sense. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Katrina | 4/26/2011

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Jennifer | 2/11/2011

I was involved and wanted to see how it ended, so I scimmed passed some obvious bad parts and was rather impressed with the storyline. Not something i would recommend to a friend. "
