Publisher Description

The Scarlet Society is a secret club of 12 powerful and sexually adventurous women. But when a photograph of the body of one of the men they're recruited to dominate - strapped to a gurney, the number 1 inked on the sole of his foot - is sent to the New York Times, they are shocked and frightened.

Unable to cope with the tragedy, the women turn to Dr. Morgan Snow. But what starts out as grief counseling quickly becomes a murder investigation, with any one of the 12 women a potential suspect.

The case leads Detective Noah Jordan - a man with whom Morgan has shared a brief, intense connection - to her office. He fears the number on the man's foot hints that the killings have just begun. With her hands tied by her professional duty, Morgan is dangerously close to the demons in her own mind - and the flesh-and-blood killer. (A multicast production.)

"The Delilah Complex (The Butterfield Institute)by M.J. Rose is book 2, and lives up to the first one. That is not always the case in series. As many of you reader may have discovered. With MJ Rose you will not be disappointed. This book kept me glued to my Kindle and as in the Halo Effect, Ms Rose does not hold anything back. She knows how to create a story that is both literary and hypnotic that gripped me from the first chapter to the last. As in her first novel it is a pleasure to read as she has the ability to pull me into the story with her vivid descriptions. The Delilah Complex (The Butterfield Institute)gets 5 stars from me. I just uploaded book 3 yea."

" It's a creepy murder mystery. But it has some characters from a prior book who are interesting -- among these a sex therapist and a detective. "

" This book captivated me from the begining. Although only part way into the book I had already guessed who was behind the "killings". However the twist at the end surprised me. "

" I haven't read anything by MJ Rose in the past, but I think I have to now. Her writing is gripping and visual, and her characters are vivid. This story was from the point of view of Dr. Morgan Snow, a sex therapist, and her encounters and interactions surrounding a case where men go missing and are presumed murdered. It was a fascinating story! I don't want to say more because it would be too easy to spoil it, but I will admit that I (correctly) suspected "whodunnit" by the middle of the book. "

" Great book. I have placed several of her other books on hold at the library and will be diving in soon. Although I was pretty sure I had the mystery solved fairly early on she still managed to make me second guess myself a lot and still surprised me in the end. Not much sex really, just a lot of talk about sex. "

" This is the first book that I have read by MJ Rose. I found it very interesting. The plot kept me wanting to read more. I really couldn't put my reader down. I am currently reading another one of Ms. Rose's books. It isn't as good as Delilah complex. But I like it. "

" As a whole this was a good read.It is a fast read, but that is due to the fact that the book should probably have been 100 pages longer. Not from a story point of view, but it needs more details. It ended up feeling rushed.I would read more books by this author though "
