" I loved it!!! It was very thrilling. Spooky for me (my own preference), and it just makes you feel like your right there (with a hint of imagination). I'm hugging this book in my arms right now, literaly. I'm gonna get out there and get the sequel now! "

" Imagine that Brother Cadfael had an orphaned apprentice boy who found a hobgoblin wounded in a trap in the woods. They nurse it back to health while a mysterious, leprous, stanger shows up at the abbey. That's this book. I wish the hobgoblin's character was a little more fleshed out.... "

" William has The Sight, but only finds out once he encounters strange creatures like the hob and other fay beings. He is an orphan, working as a servant in Crowfield Abbey, an impoverished, cold place hiding old secrets, including an angel. I enjoyed the pace and writing style of this book, and look forward to the sequel. In our library, it is categorized as Teen, but I think younger readers would enjoy this as well and, for their parents, there is nothing 'teen' about it. "
