"This was the type of Christmas book I was looking forward to reading as the Holiday Season approached. Filled with Hope, Faith and Miracles from beginning to end. I was beyond excited at how much this story hit home for me. Like one of the main characters Meghan, my sister has overcome Medical miracles to become an elite runner, so I particularly enjoyed this story. Also, as a sequel, I did not read "The Christmas Shoes" and don't feel I needed to in order to keep up with this novel." — Steph (5 out of 5 stars)

" Nice sequel to The Christmas Shoes. Nathan, the little boy from The Christmas Shoes, is grown up in this novel. It was a quick read and nicely written. I enjoyed seeing how Nathan turned out all these years later. This novel has many of the characters from the original book and also introduces new characters.....and their lives intertwine in this inspirational story! "
" Okay this is a really good feeling holiday tear jerker, I love these books during the holidays. Its helps me appriciate what i have. "
" Tear jerking! Great book if you're coping with loss or terminal illness. "
" Touching story... definite tear jerker. "
" this was a cute story and i look forward to continuing with the series. "
" I thought this would be too hard to read - about children being extremely ill - but I finally decided to keep reading. I really loved the book and was glad I read it. So much to think about. But this might not be the book for everyone because of the difficult subject. "
" The book was wonderful, I loved the story, except that the mother died of heart disease not cancer, as the summary describes "
" predictable but sweet and hearwarming :) "
" It's a good story, very poorly written. Normally I can survive bad writing, with a good story, but this one kept going to the bottom of the pile. I was reading about 1854 cholera epidemic in London instead. "
" This was a nice follow up to her first book, The Christmas Shoes. Actually I liked this book a bit more. I really enjoyed the message of the story and such a nice read during the holiday season, but the message is relevant throughout the year. "
" I loved this one too! It wasn't quite as sad as the first one but it was a book to cry at! And if you've seen the movie, it's nothing like the book, the book is so much better! :) "
" Ok. A bit sappy, a bit not technically and medically precise, a bit too predictable. Overall I give it 3 stars for moving slow and not really shaking me. I did like some of the quotes before chapters. Easy read! "
" I loved this story. So heartwarming. I hadn't read the Christmas Shoes which is apparently the prequal to this but I will next christmas thats for sure. "
" I think this was one of my favorite of the "Christmas" books by Mrs. VanLiere. Seeing Nathan (the "shoe boy") all grown up and falling in love ... =) "
" Good wholesome reading, easy read. "
" The next book after The Christmas Shoes. A wonderful story that intertwines the characters of the first book together, as well as introducing new ones, in a beautiful way. Another holiday MUST READ! "
" I loved this book. It was feeled with many wonderful messages of love, facing trials head on and the love of families. I will read this again along with the Christmas Shoes. It was a great book on Hope "
" Must read if you've read #1! Tear jerker too! "
" Great story! Couldn't put it down when I started. A quick read! "
" So that I could say that I did. "
" Great quick read around the holidays. "
" I love and hate the ending. I can't believe Charlie died, but I'm glad Meagan lived. "
" This was a great story, but a real tear-jerker. It seems like you personally get to know the characters, and seems like you know them. "
" Awesome sequel. Can read this one without reading the other one but you will have missed out! I saw there was a third. I hope to find it soon!!!! Wonderful book to read during the Christmas season! "
" Schmaltzy and predictable, but a nice little uplifting story. Not an awful book to end the year with, and it does fit the season. "
" A book about hope exisitng in the darkest places, and how love is always the greatest gift of all. All of her books are good. Several are TV movies on LMN. She has a way of touching even the coldest of hearts. "
" A warm and wonderful book. "
" I loved this book. It is a great story about tribulations and surviving them. "
" It was not a bad book. I liked the plot but I felt the characters needed a bit more depth. At first the story was not clear enough and it lacked something. But I really loved how the story ended. "
" 2.5 stars Contrived and predictable, and totally lacking in character depth, but if you are looking for a schmaltzy Christmas story it's fine. "
" One of my favorite books of all!! "
" This sequel to "The Christmas Shoes" is a lot more enjoyable than the first book. "
" This was a really good book, kinda sad. I really liked it!! "
" Tear jerker!! But such a good story! "
" Starting another sappy story! LOL "
" This book is about Nathan the boy from The Christmas Shoes, now a medical student. It reflects back to his childhood memories and applies to how he lives today and the man he has become. This story is filled with love and I really enjoyed this heartfelt easy read. "
