The New York Times best-selling author of the Sisters Grimm series, Michael Buckley has also written and developed shows for Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Discovery Channel. Supervillain Gerdie Baker, assisted by criminal mastermind Simon, has created a device that opens portals to other worlds, which she and other cheerleaders have been pillaging. But the alternate realities are starting to get awfully close together, so it's up to Matilda Wheezer Choi and the NERDS to stop the cheerleaders before the worlds collide.

" Matilda must give up her life of martial arts and punches in the head to spy for the N.E.R.D.S.She does, but reluctantly. "

" Over-the-top as all the NERDS books are. This one borrows a page from "Bring it on" with the message that cheerleading is a serious sport that wins the respect of the main agent eventually. Yet again the world is threatened by a former NERDS agent who has gone rogue and can only be brought in the junior agents and their amazing upgrades. Sly humor, action hyperbole, and gadgets galore feature as always! "

" The third book in the NERDS series focuses on Wheezer, Matilda Choi. I'm thoroughly enjoying that we get to find out more about each agent as the series progresses. Wheezer's personal family problems are probably relatable with a lot of kids these days. Mom and dad are constantly fighting and are on the verge of divorce. What I like about this particular resolution is that it was realistic. There isn't a happy ending where suddenly her parents get along again, instead, her parents sit down with Wheezer and explain to her what's going on. Wheezer was the unpredictable and slightly violent one of the group when the series first started. By the end of this book, she was the same but I felt that she was more stable and gained a lot more confidence about who she was. "

" Imagine our whole universe colliding with other universes. That would start a big war, right? And most of the time, only bad guys can cause big wars. Well, in the book NERDS cheerleaders of doom, this is the case, Gerdie Baker( Mathlete ) is a former member of NERDS, that looks a lot like Bigfoot. Gerdie has also made a new machine that can let her, and other people to go in to universes. But, Gerdie gets extensive plastic surgery-and even changes her name. However the NERDS team does know that Gerdie is in NCA( national cheerleading association ). So first Matilda has to get in to the cheerleading squad, and then uncover each girl's true identify, and find the true Gerdie. Can Matilda stop Gerdie's machine from colliding all of the universe's together? And Heathcliff from causing chaos once and for all( Gerdie is part of Heathcliff's plan, too)? Find out in Nerds: Book Three: the Cheerleaders of Doom. "
