" Even though I had watched the movie, I still found reading the nivel worthwhile. Would recommend it "

" Maybe because it was the first one I read ( 20 years ago) and the fact that I could not put it down, but this is my all time favorite Robert Ludlum book. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Aaron Anderson | 2/9/2014

" It was pretty good without being great. I will say that it was very different than the movies, far more so than I expected. "

" The movie and book has a common thing: a spy known as Jason Bourne from Treadstone who has lost his memory... That is all. I wondered how can a movie be so different from book and yet the book says "now a major movie". The book was heavy, writing obscure and twists not that surprising, still it has something that binds you, provokes you to complete it and finally leave you wiyh a thought: should I go for book number two or not. As a matter of fact, right now I have had enough of Jason Bourne aand I am currently sick of the repetitive line "Delta is for Cain and Cain is for Charlie", yes Mr Ludlum I got that. But the book was okay and since I was able to finish it so I liked it. "

" Got through a few chapters. There way too many books in the world to slug through this tripe, I mean trope. Boring, poorly written and characters that would go up in smoke at a spark struck in a different hemisphere. Maybe the movies ruined it. Wait, no, this book was just lame. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Tyler Grant | 1/26/2014

" I had read this book multiple times before there was ever a movie. Besides the cloak and dagger setting, the one-man-against-the-world story, and story of self-discovery, this book is SMART. The author thinks geometrically, as Jason Bourne likes to say. The story is seamless, with no inconsistencies. It is an awesome story that author makes believable. Some awesome stories don't hold water when examined any closer than a good distance. But I find it thrilling when Ludlum can make the story truly possible and at the same time truly incredible. I've since read nearly all of Ludlum's stuff, and he has some good ones, but this and the Bourne Supremacy are probably his masterpieces (The Bourne Ultimatum reaches and fails in my opinion). "

" This is a decent book, y'know? It just took me 2 months to read because suspense novels can't be suspenseful when you've already seen the movie. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Thomas Crawford | 1/18/2014

" Kept a consistent level of action and suspense. One of my all time favourite books. "

" The book "The Bourne Identity" is a really good book has lots of action if you are a fan of action this a good book. Its a very long book and you should read all the book befor this book so you understand what is going on.The mian idea of this book is that he is hunting some body but gets hurt and the person he was hunting down is hunting him down and that is really the main idea. But it is a very good book. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 András Csapó | 1/6/2014

" Another great thriller from Ludlum. I had expected a good read but found that it is a real masterpiece of moving action, something which is much more than just a good read. "

" Ludlum would have been a much better writer if he had known one gun from another. His preposterous descriptions of handguns always detracted from otherwise excellent narratives. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Tracey | 1/3/2014

" Really hard going. Too many characters and twists for me to get into "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Kate | 12/5/2013

" This book is fantastic! If you think you know the story from seeing the movie, think again. Bourne is way more realistic, and Marie isn't just a gypsy girl wandering around Europe. Devious, twisted, and fascinating. A must read! "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Robert Michael | 11/14/2013

" Liked it a lot! I found some of the story lines hard to follow, mostly the parts with the Intelligence Agency. I had trouble keeping all of the characters straight. Overall though, I thought it was really good. Probably won't watch the movie- I don't want it to ruin it! "
