Publisher Description

ATF agent Sean Ozburn is deep undercover, supporting the sicarios of the North Baja Cartel, when he suddenly goes completely dark, leaving Charlie Hood and the support team from Operation Blowdown with a safe house full of bodies and no explanation. Sean’s only communication in the following days consists of a series of haunting digital videos sent to his desperately worried wife, Seliah.

As he pieces together evidence of his friend’s strange quest and searches the border landscape, following faint signals to the man’s whereabouts, Charlie Hood must determine if Oz is simply chasing demons deeper undercover than anyone has ever gone, or whether his friend has suffered a permanent break with his mission and his moral compass.

A crime novel of unprecedented scope and unrivaled storytelling ambition, The Border Lords revisits the fevered landscape of America’s southern border—and confronts the unexplored depths of humanity’s dark soul.

"Not as much Charlie Hood in this one, but the two other main 'side-stories' had an interesting inter-play with my favorite main character, The story lines continue to build towards a head-on collision course with good vs. evil and greed."

" Charlie Hood, on loan from the LASD to the ATF returns to thwart gun running to Mexico drug cartels. I like Charlie and how he operates. I can easily see how American agencies are losing the war against drugs and guns and even shooting each other down south. Anyhow, an ATF undercover man Sean Ozborn, has gone missing for months in Mexico. His sudden reappearance and attitude draw suspicion and rightly so. No one's sure if he's gone off the deep end or just trying to make the biggest bust ever for Blowdown, a special ATF assignment. I still liked Iron River better and you should read that one first. "

" I wanted to like this book. I really, really wanted to. I am a huge fan of T Jeff and read everything he writes. I am just not that impressed with the Charlie Hood series and each book has gotten worse. There are some interesting characters and interesting plots, but Hood is a bore and the books seem to wander. I find myself having a difficult time staying focused on the book while I am reading it. The supernatural theme does not belong in these books. The rabies twist was pretty interesting though. Really hoping for some new Charlie Hood material soon. "
