"I really liked this book. The writing is sub-excellent but the story makes up for it. There were twists, in a good way, and it was not what I expected. Considering it is young adult fiction it is truly excellent. Read it if you like good fiction."

" 3.5 stars. The strangest book I've read in a while! That's not entirely a bad thing, though. "

" I like the idea of saints being reincarnated before the End of Days, but this story was poorly executed. Nothing seemed to flow, I wasn't convinced at all by the three female characters' transformation, and the Brooklyn setting felt like the author just looked at Google maps and based her description off of street names and street view. " If you know me personally, you probably wouldn't enjoy this book. Like me, you might think there's too much profanity, too much vulgarity, too much blood (because that's what happens when somebody gets accidentally trapped inside an Iron Maiden--and what kind of derelict church has one of those hanging around, anyway?) and too much devotion without doctrine. But if you're all right with those, or with occasional point of view shifts, or with protagonists you can't stand at first, you might enjoy this novel about three girls headed for destruction, who instead are singled out by a visionary young man to be the next harbingers for faith and miracles, only to attract the wrath of his disbelieving (but willing to enforce his disbelief with violence) psychiatrist. " In a world where YA is currently dominated by paranormal and dystopian, this book was a nice detour in the world of religious fantasy, where teenagers take on the personas of their patron saints. "

" I got through about half of this one when I put it down to read something else. Overly descriptive and slow moving plot had me flipping pages rather than enjoying the story. I really don't even remember much of what I read, it was too boring. I'd avoid this one. "
