" Fun book to read, well worth the time. It is a very easy read with obvious symbolism but still fun. "

" The Black Book of Secrets is a must read! It kept me completely engrossed from beginning to end! From the horrible plight that Ludlow escapes, to the mob of angry 'secret givers', this book has earned a spot on my library shelf! "

" A good read. Not all that special or earth shaking, but enjoyable enough. A year from now I'll probably barely remember it. I am satisfied I read it so that's probably the defination of a three star book for me. Works for kids between 8-12. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Linda | 12/14/2013

" A cute story that has you hooked at the first sentence. In spite of its ominous title, its a teen book that doesn't get too graphic or too dark. It reminded me a little bit of "Oliver" with a TWIST of "Needful Things". Ha Ha Ha ha ha "

" Just when you think you've seen/heard it all, here comes The Black Book of Secrets. I am not normally a fantasy reader, so I was amazed at how much I enjoyed this book. I felt sorry for the main character, but felt he was completely rewarded for his sad upbringing in the end. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Polina | 11/18/2013

" The book is not genius but should be nice for 12-13 years olds. But the moral is rather tricky... "

" This book cannot be judged by its cover. As the cover was all black, with black page edges, which implied a gothy adventurous romp. Which if it was in there, I was too bored to find it. "
