Publisher Description

The Beach Hut follows the stories of the families who come to Everdene each year, people who fall in - or out - of love, remembering their pasts, or trying to forget them...There's Jane Milton, left only debts by her husband, and forced to sell the beloved beach hut that holds so many happy memories; Sarah; for whom fidelity has lost its appeal; and Harry, suffering from the anguish of first love when he falls for Florence - who has grown up to be far more alluring than she ever used to be.

" Perfect summer read. Easy-going, nice and simple. Tells the stories of the people who own or visit the beach huts in Devon and how their tales inter-twine as their stories develop. I really enjoyed it. "

" This was a beach read that I got in Spain in a store with only a small selection of English titles. It tells the stories of various people who rent the huts on an English Beach or who come into that area for some reason. Some of their paths cross in interesting ways. "

" This is chick lit to appeal to a wide age range. This is not just about twenty or thirty-somethings but ranges across the love lives of teenagers to pensioners. A great read for the beach (says something in the title), you'll sail through it. It's not howl with laughter chick lit but it is has pace and interesting characters with interesting snippets of their lives to keep it going plus a seaside setting. What's more to like than a bit of sun, sand, sea, surf and a row of brightly coloured beach huts - I want one! No seaside town is complete without a hotel, pub, restaurant or ice cream stall and that essential ingredient children. A good light summer read. "

" Fantastic!!! I couldn't wait to finish. Shame there weren't more pages to this book! Loved how the lives if it's characters, though written as individual stories, intertwined as the book progressed. A definite recommendation. It made me tingle and laugh at the same time. Well done Henry!!! "

" This is a super series of intertwining short stories which highlight a community of Beach Hut dwellers over the course of a summer. All the characters come to life, and when some stories overlap it all adds to the overall effect of a light and easy summer read. "
