"Many things happened in this book. Specially with Amy freaking out every 5 minutes. That's the only reason of why I don't really like this book so much. She is quite annoying....sorry but true :D. Anyways, she and Dan start arguing because of their newly found branch.....THE MADRIGALS. Who are supposed to be the "evil" ones in the clue hunt. They are mysterious, always hiding and trying to mess up the branches' goals of winning the clue hunt. At least, that is what everyone says. Amy and Dan do agree in something, they don't know how to act. If they are supposed to be evil, then why be nice?. They have many differences, which lead to Dan running away in the middle of China, to arrive at the hands of Jonah Wizard, a Janus. But they manage to find each other again, but not before being kidnapped by the Kabras and dumped at a lollipop factory to die. And the most important questions remain, were their parents evil since they were Madrigals? Who should you trust?"

" I began reading this series with my 10-year-old nephew. I love that there is enough mystery and suspense to keep us both interested and entertained. I'm excited to see how the series finishes. What will happen to Dan and Amy? Who exactly are the Madrigals, and how are they involved? What's Nellie's true role in the game? Hmmm.... "

" Definitely one of the best of the series!!! I'm so excited for the last two books!! Although I'm disappointed because the climax of this book should have been the climax of the series. I have no idea how they're going to top this one... "

" Quick, entertaining read as always, although not quite as good as the previous book. I did like that we caught up with Jonah Wizard and his father, and learned a bit more about the Janus branch of the family. But, alas, there wasn't enough Holts or Kabras to satisfy me this time around. ;) "

" Stopped by the library and read this one while I was there (it came in for a hold I had on it). This book was about the same as the other books so far with Amy and Dan in China searching for the next clue. They get split up and have to work together and determine what is really important to them. "
