Publisher Description

As the host of a new prime-time magazine show, Kelly Douglas is on the brink of realizing her dream of becoming a news anchor. A modern-day Cinderella, she has overcome her unhappy childhood in rural Napa Valley, leaving behind her abusive, alcoholic father and transforming herself from the four-eyed and fat Lizzie Dougherty into the chic, successful Kelly Douglas.

Assigned to do a feature story on Napa Valley, Kelly becomes entangled in the lives of Katherine Rutledge, the matriarch of the famous Rutledge Estate Winery, and her grandson, vintner Sam Rutledge. Kelly falls passionately in love with Sam, but when a murder on the estate is linked to her father, she is forced to confront everything she had tried to escape. Will she risk losing her new life and the man she loves in order to protect her secret past?

" It appeared to have an awesome plot in the beginning... and the steam just rolled thickley up to the last 20 pages. Then it flopped. A huge let down. I was so disappointed in the ending. Oh well. It was a loaner from my mom. "
