"Did not realise this was not one of the Roman stories but enjoyed it all the same. Malta 1565 Islam V Christianity. Great adventure, action and a good story. If you are into adventure or historical fiction you can't go far wrong."

" Lots of fighting blood and gore and hard men fighting hard. Liked the description of the ancient flame throwers. And I laughed out loud when the protaganist found out the hidden secret. I predicted this very early in the book and was pleased that I guessed the secret. "

" A wonderful epic historical novel for my first finished book of 2013. I have read many fiction and non fiction books on the 1565 siege of Malta. This was among the best. An excellent author an excellent book. "
