"I was concerned that the heroine was going to die angry. The hero held my attention. This book is a baby version of The Alibi. I think that maybe Sandra Brown took the hero from this book and "grew him up" to be the man Hammond "Bad Ass" Cross in The Alibi. Just my opinion. "

" Ok, going into it you need to remember this book was written in the 80s and romance was a different creature then. While, I enjoyed the book I found both characters to be both endearing and annoying. They seemed able to go from overly confident and sarcastic to desperate and needy in the snap of a finger; however, this being said that is more true to form. Not all of us is one way or the other entirely. I liked the 2nd quiet little romance coming together around the main characters, just a little reminder that you are not the center of the universe and things do happen without you being around lol "

" At first it seemed really good but then I noticed it was all about physical attraction. If any of the characters were not physically perfect this book would not be written. Very shallow!! "

" This was a great story and I really liked the author's style, but the heroine was completely unlikeable and unprofessional and it made it difficult to finish reading the book. Fortunately, I've heard good things about some of her other books and I'm looking forward to checking them out. "
