Six months after nearly losing their lives to a serial killer in New York City, FBI Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett are suffering through something almost as frightening: the monotony of desk duty. When they're ordered to take a vacation for the good of everyone's sanity, Ty bites the bullet and takes Zane home with him to West Virginia, hoping the peace and quiet of the mountains will give them the chance to explore the explosive attraction they've so far been unable to reconcile with their professional partnership.Ty and Zane, along with Ty's father and brother, head up into the Appalachian mountains for a nice, relaxing hike deep into the woods... where no one will hear them scream. They find themselves facing danger from all directions: unpredictable weather, the unrelenting mountains, wild animals, fellow hikers with nothing to lose, and the most terrifying challenge of all. Each other.

" Really great work. With sequel both main characters getting more closer to one another. I was enjoying reading there progress. "

" Another Ty and Zane book. Loved it. This time the story is more around their relationship developing into something very real then the mystery part. Mystery is still, there, action is present at times, their are targets again, but it was a side-plot IMO. What I use to think about gay man is that they have it easier then us, straight women, regarding their partner to be more open emotionally and being able to vocalize their state of mind and soul. Well, how wrong was I. Dead wrong. Gay or straight, or bi, they just shot down every little thing that could get them off the balance. Even a little. The fear of whatever (emotions, love, attachment...) is alive and well within them. I'm not sure if I'm relieved or saddened by that fact. Still, those two beautiful men make me cheer for them. And a bit jealous of them as well :))). Great read. "

" 3.5 stars or so. They guys are still great, even when you want to kick them. The plot and timeline of this one actually made more sense than the first book, although it was just as over-the-top (I was going to say less so, but then there was the cat.) I was not convinced by the brother as shrink here. He seemed all over the place in both his therapy efforts and his insights or lack thereof. And I felt like Ty and Zane do some personality swapping - I love them but just don't feel them as distinct and clearly individual as I would like, more like a delightful entwined pair. The injuries keep piling up and getting less than the deserved recovery time, which is one of my romance pet peeves. So did I put this one down or read slowly? No. Am I going to go out and buy the next one? Hell, yeah. "

" A fantastic follow up to Cut and Run. I particularly like how Urban and Roux show Zane and Ty as suffering psychological issues from the events of Cut and Run which would have rattled even the best of FBI agents. I also adored the slow development of their relationship in this book and I can't wait to read the next book in the series! I totally wasn't supposed to re-read this all last night, but despite knowing how it went I couldn't put the damn kindle down! "
