Matt Cruse is back in the phenomenal third volume in Kenneth Oppel's best-selling, award-winning series - and this time he's heading for outer space. Airborn and Skybreaker, the first two books in the series, have been among our best-selling and most-honored titles, and we think you'll find this one just as thrilling - if not more so. Featuring an international cast of larger-than-life characters, this is adventure fiction at its finest.

" All the books in this series were just fun! Totally PG teen stuff, but nice steampunkish, action/adventure. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 B | 1/28/2014

" The third after Airborn and Skybreaker, I loved this as much as the others...exciting story, great characters, and some good humor. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Khanh Linh | 1/26/2014

" Wonderous and well written! I loved it how Kenneth Oppel took his readers higher and far away from the smy and into outerspace. Matt and Kate find themselves in another problem with the rest of the Starclimber crew when they find their lives endangered. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Shiralea Woodhouse | 1/20/2014

" I think I need to add an "Adventure" or a "steampunk" shelf, because this isn't exactly what I'd call a YA novel, though the main characters would be considered YA. This series is just one grand adventure after another and a great read for just about anyone; I've really enjoyed it. In this installment, Matt becomes an "astralnaut" on the first space expedition, and of course Kate is right there to complicate things. :) I thought this would be the end of the series, but it was left wide open and I hope there is more to come...??? "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Carol | 1/19/2014

" This time the Airborne characters venture into outer space with lots of romance, mishaps, bad guys etc.. I enjoyed the concepts in the first two books - alternate universe where things are just slightly different. Such as air travel by 'dirigible' type conveyances, and the Titanic didn't sink. But, the science is silly in this one. Young Adults. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Barbara | 1/18/2014

" Read books 1 and 2 first - but this is the best in the series. Good adventure and wonderful characters! "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Rose | 1/14/2014

" This is a "Rose" book. Likeable characters, stuff happens, adventure and nature and mystery and romance. Great conclusion to an entertaining trilogy! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Nicole | 1/10/2014

" Absolutely amazing! Probably my fav of the three. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Amanda Day | 12/26/2013

" Loved the first two books of this series but this one not so much. It was good, but just didn't hold my attention as well. Plus it had more language in it. We listened to the audio version as a family and it bugged me that a childrens book had bad language (albeit mild) in it. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Denise | 12/25/2013

" I loved all three books in this series. I was worried that this book might mean an end to Matt Cruse's adventures, but Oppel left everything wide open for another book. Yeah! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Angie | 12/23/2013

" Each book in the series has been better than the last. This book has it all - adventure, romance, and farting space monkeys. Who could ask for more? "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Ally | 12/2/2013

" I didn`t read books 1 or 2, but I still liked this book. A little too scientific for those of us who are not into spaceships and flying. Characters were OK. Good action. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Scott | 12/2/2013
