"The Jacen inner conflict is getting better and better ..... still anticipating a Jaina Love Story in this series and what Mara's future holds. Pretty decent series .... just really long. Yuzhong Vong (sp?) need to get their asses handed to them already!"

" This is the best book of the series so far. "

" My least favorite of the NJO series so far. But I will say I did enjoy Jacen's character arc, it was by far the most interesting. "

" This was the first book I read in the series, and I was kinda able to figure out what was going on, which was nice, but when I reread it it didn't spend twelve pages telling about what had already happened (a common failing among series; see the babysitters' club, the beacon street girls, WITCH, Alice, the Wee Free Men, etc.) but I suspect I would have liked it more had I read the first book first. The Solo twins are being themselves, only Jacen is having scary, cryptic dreams. oh, no! And Jaina has been injured, but she will get better...right? And their parents' marriage is falling apart. This has way too much character development for a typical sci-fi novel, but that's okay. "

" The major premise of this book, Jacen's dilemma, failed to hit home with me. I just didn't buy it. "

" Things keep getting worse for the New Republic and for the Solo family. Even being reunited doesn't seem to smooth over emotional wounds and with little time for anything else the Solo's are fighting for their lives. Again. "

" The New Jedi Order is my favorite series in the Star Wars Expanded Universe. It is a long and epic story, with large ramifications for all the Expanded Universe characters. It will keep you busy for a while! "

" The best part about this book was its perfect size despite being a hard cover. However, the story serves as an important connector and worth the time if you're reading the series. "

" I'll be honest. I found it a little hard to read this, because the Duros were hard to deal with. It was tense, and it gave us good insight into Jacen and his attitudes towards the force, and what is defined as aggression. "
