Publisher Description

It is a solemn time for the New Republic, as the merciless Yuuzhan Vong continue their campaign of destruction. The brutal enemy has unleashed a savage creature capable of finding and killing Jedi Knights. And now Leia Organa Solo faces a terrible ultimatum. If the location of the secret Jedi base is not revealed within one week, the Yuuzhan Vong will blast millions of refugee ships into oblivion.

As the battered but still unbroken Jedi scramble to deal with the newest onslaught, Leia's son, Anakin, lays out a daring plan. He will lead a Jedi strike force into the heart of enemy territory in order to sabotage the Yuuzhan Vong's deadliest weapons. There, with his brother and sister at his side, he will come face-to-face with his destiny - as the forces of the New Republic, still fighting the good fight, will come face-to-face with theirs.

"This was the best book in the series so far. We witnessed abduction attempts, ferocious space battles, chess-like military moves & feints, and, the disastrous hunt for the voxyn queen. We saw traitors exposed and heroes perish. Every second chapter was filled with exciting and unpredictable action. The conclusion was open ended enough to compel me to continue reading the next book in the series, "Dark Journey", right away to see how things may end for the Skywalkers and the Solos."

" This is the book that ticked me off. George Lucas had Jedi Anakin Solo killed off. I loved the book. I loved the whole series of The New Jedi Order. But I walked around the house yelling at Lucas for a few days. I still hold a big grudge and its been some years since I read the book. Seriously. It's a great book Star Wars readers. "

" If u enjoyed the staw wars moves and always wondered what happed next the books are really good. They are done by different authors, so i didnt like some of the ways that they wrote. They did keep the story line moving so that was good. "

" A pretty major turning point for multiple reasons in the whole New Jedi Order saga. I didn't realize going into it just how epic this book was, but it was definitely memorable -- both in the content and in the size of the book (600+ pages paperback). I'm very much enjoying the series so far. "
