Jessi St. James has got to get a life. Too many hours studying ancient artifacts has given the hardworking archaeology student a bad case of sex on the brain. So she figures she must be dreaming when she spies a gorgeous half-naked man staring out at her from inside the glass of an ancient mirror.

But when a split-second decision saves her from a terrifying attempt on her life, Jessi suddenly finds herself confronting six-and-a-half feet of smoldering, insatiable alpha male.

Heir to the arcane magic of his Druid ancestors, Cian MacKeltar was trapped inside the Dark Glass 11 centuries ago. And when the Dark Glass is stolen, an ancient enemy will stop at nothing to reclaim it.

For Jessi, the sex god in the mirror is not only tantalizingly real, he's offering his protection - from exactly what, Jessi doesn't know. And all he wants in exchange is the exquisite pleasure of sharing her bed. Download and start listening now!

" I really enjoyed this one and it was fun at the end to to feel like the Fever series is coming. I need to reread that one again now for sure!! "

" I don't know why I resisted these books for so long, and of course being the completely backwards person I am I picked up #7....*sigh*....guess I'll have to sacrifice and go back and get the others to read. Oh life is so hard ;) "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Olivia | 1/15/2014

" The ending to this book, definitely sets it up for the Fever series. Lots of clues are given. "

" I had a harder time getting into this book. I liked it, but didn't capture me like the other books in this series. I think the reason for that was because the story kept jumping around to different perspectives and different points of view, and usually during a pretty intense moment. It got annoying, when I really wanted to read the outcome of a particular event and then it would switch to someone else. I think the jumping perspectives kept me from getting too emotionally involved with this story. Or it could be that Moning was just getting tired of the same formula she had used for the previous books in this series. I read on her website that she kind of lost interest in writing those books. "

" This was a good ending to this series, but it left it wide open. The Fever series is a good explanation for the rest of it, and I don't see how more Highlander books can be written about the same family. Either way, this was a good installment. Same deal, except this one didn't travel back in time. And thank goodness for the plate in her head, huh. "

" I think some time between the books in this series helps you appreciate them better. I like the connection she is making to the fever series and looking forward to see them link. I am getting tired of her highlander and mate description they seem to be all the same tough. "

" I think I may have messed up my reading by jumping ahead books five and six and reading book seven next, but I couldn't help myself! What a creative story line, again with the virgin (sigh) but overall a great tale of good v. evil and the power of a little faith! "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Kaarin | 9/9/2011

" You have to love a time traveling romance novel, except of course when its just plain silly. Why can't characters just talk and get to know each other, why do they have to be so perfect? I don't have a problem with the magic aspect, or time travel, just one dimensional characters. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Dobarah | 6/8/2011

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Taisha | 5/16/2011

" I thought this book was one of the least that I liked out of the highlander series. I thought the story line was not as elaborate as the others. It is still a good read the sex scenes are HOT!! "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Anita (AC) | 5/11/2011

" I'm sorry to say these are very formulaic romances, except they involve time travel. The only reason I read these are because of the tie in to the Fever series. "
