This was supposedly the last book in this series but there was a lot of Jolie's story left unsaid. I understand that more of it will be covered in a spin off series but I really don't feel like this series had an actual end. This book and series ended on a serious cliff hanger, no closure. Jolie and Rand's story as monarchs of the Underworld and the war with the Lurkers has been left to be picked up in a new series. " I did enjoy this book, it took me a few chapters to get into it tho. I was so over the Sinjin/ Rand drama...but as soon as that pasted it got good. It ended with a cliff hanger for a good start to the spin off book. I see a new love interest for Sinjin in the next book :) "

Jolie really annoyed me with her inner dialogues and the great Lurker battle was disappointing. I felt that the ending was so anticlimactic and the story felt unfinished.
