Publisher Description

A witch’s work is never done, and in bestselling author H. P. Mallory’s mesmerizing new novel, Jolie Wilkins finds that the real magic is only just beginning.

For smart and sexy witch Jolie Wilkins, being Queen of the Underworld is a royal pain. Back from a round of time travel, Jolie must now protect her realm from the sinister Lurkers—a powerful breed of half-humans bent on conquering the undead. And if there’s one thing she knows, it’s that the supernatural never go down without a fight.

At least Jolie has her soul mate (and finally official boyfriend), warlock Rand Balfour, by her side. Honorable, brave, and unbelievably handsome, Rand is everything Jolie wants in a man. So why can’t she forget the dangerously alluring vampire, Sinjin Sinclair? With her private life heating up and a battle boiling over, Jolie sets out to prove that in matters of love and war, the fairer hex has its own set of charms.

"3.5 Fun read, probably one of the best in the series but there was still something very disappointing about the end. This was supposedly the last book in this series but there was a lot of Jolie's story left unsaid. I understand that more of it will be covered in a spin off series but I really don't feel like this series had an actual end. This book and series ended on a serious cliff hanger, no closure. Jolie and Rand's story as monarchs of the Underworld and the war with the Lurkers has been left to be picked up in a new series. I'm not sure how HP will pull this off without closure for Jolie and Rand, I guess I'll wait and see."

" So sad that this is the last book in the series! I have really enjoyed this series and I hope that HP starts another series to replace this one! So happy for Jolie and Rand. Highly recommend these books, you won't want to put it down. "

" I did enjoy this book, it took me a few chapters to get into it tho. I was so over the Sinjin/ Rand drama...but as soon as that pasted it got good. It ended with a cliff hanger for a good start to the spin off book. I see a new love interest for Sinjin in the next book :) "

" 2.5 stars...it was very difficult for me to get through this book. I read it without really enjoying it but I wanted to finish the series. Jolie really annoyed me with her inner dialogues and the great Lurker battle was disappointing. I felt that the ending was so anticlimactic and the story felt unfinished. I thought the series started off strong but went downhill from book 3. I wanted to read the Dulcie O'Neil series but now I am unsure with the way that this one turned out. "

" This is the last Jolie book. And needless to say I was very sad to have to say goodbye to some of my favorite characters. But we were introduced to new characters which I hope we will see soon in the future. I also think H.P. Mallory did a great job leaving things tied into a nice little bow. As with all of H.P. books you will laugh and cry and be emotionally tied to the characters. You will not be disapointed in getting this book. "
