Publisher Description

Alastor Krayl's world shattered when he learned that his father was the Underworld god of chaos and evil. All that saved him from self-destruction were his newfound brothers and the bond they shared as soul reapers. So when one of his brothers is murdered, vengeance becomes Alastor's obsession. And the enigmatic Naphré Kurata, a witness - or is she the killer? - has the answers he seeks.

A reluctant Underworld enforcer, Naphré trusts no one, especially not a seductive soul reaper who makes her burn with lust. Torn between duty and desire, she fights to keep her secrets safe from Alastor, even as she longs to surrender.

"I really enjoyed the first book in this series... more than I thought I would. There was of course quite a bit of "world building," but I did not become bored because of it. I am looking forward to continuing on to the next book. 4 1/2 stars "

" The first book was better. I found myself skimming alot through this book. It was nice to read about Dae and Roxy and how their relationship is progressing. I will continue with the series because I want to know if they find Lokan. Hopefully book 3 is better than this. "

" Better than the first one but again the lead characters are rather boring, there is just no spark or tension. But i'm still interested in how she'll wrap all this up so I guess I'll be checking out the third one. "

" Not a huge fan. It took forever for me to get through this book. It took way too long for me to care if they ended up together. The ending was rushed and I didn't get to enjoy the after glow. I am interested in continuing the sub plot with Lokan but this book just didn't do it for me. "

" It was a decent supernatural romance. Very slow start, but about halfway in I got invested without even realizing it and couldn't seem to put it down. If only it were that way from the very beginning. The mythology was very interesting. "

" Four and a half stars! I really enjoyed the premise and world building in this one. It is centered on Egyptian Mythology. I love books based on myths or ancient pantheons. Starting the second one, Sins of the Soul, now. "

" I love Eve Silver's work, and her new trilogy is by far no exception. She's created a world loaded with interesting, unique characters. None of them are wholly good, and none wholly evil (well, maybe a few). I can't wait to read the next. "

" Not bad, it just isn't holding my interest. I am not really a fan of so many pov's and the villain is reminding me too much of one in a series that I also don't really care for. Anyhow, the premise is creative and I like the main characters but not enough to keep reading through all the rest. "
