Half human, half god, Dagan Krayl is the Underworld's most powerful soul reaper. When one of his brothers is murdered, Dagan must use every ounce of his power to hunt down those responsible for his brutal death. But he must move swiftly - and carefully - if he's to have any chance of resurrecting his brother.

Yet that resurrection could wreak havoc on the mortal world. As an Otherkin, Roxy Tam has sworn to protect the human race, and it's her mission to stop Dagan. But when she sees him face-to-face, she realizes that she has seen him once before - a meeting that changed her life forever.

Neither Dagan nor Roxy expect to join forces for the sake of mankind. Or to have their loyalties tested as they struggle against the potent desire that threatens to consume them both....

"One of the major things that drew me into this book was the Egyptian and Greek mythology Eve Silver incorporated into this novel. I love mythology and this story line really appealed to me. The story focuses around two characters, Roxy and Dagan. Roxy's character is surrounded in mystery. Eve Silver let's us know Roxy's had a troubled and unhappy past. She's rough around the edges but not unlikeable. I love the way that Eve Silver slowly unraveled her story. Dagan is a soul-reaper. He goes around collecting evil souls for his darling dad's dinner. He's less of a mystery than Roxy but he's still an interesting character. Dagan and Roxy are enemies by trade. I think that's what makes their attraction to each other steamy. They must put aside their differences to try and track down a killer and protect a little girl. Eve Silver wove a very compelling tale full of action, adventure, mystery and romance. She leaves you breathless and wanting more. The is the first book in the Otherkin trilogy. The next two books are Sins of the Soul and Sins of the Flesh."

" I made it 60 or so pages in to this one when I gave it up. I just couldn't connect with the story and found myself skimming more and more the longer I read. This one just isn't for me. "

" Not bad, it just isn't holding my interest. I am not really a fan of so many pov's and the villain is reminding me too much of one in a series that I also don't really care for. Anyhow, the premise is creative and I like the main characters but not enough to keep reading through all the rest. "

" I love Eve Silver's work, and her new trilogy is by far no exception. She's created a world loaded with interesting, unique characters. None of them are wholly good, and none wholly evil (well, maybe a few). I can't wait to read the next. "

" So far, Silver is drawing me in with her writing - which is rare to find these days considering I've read most books in the PNR world, well most of the big named ones. But Eve Silver's work is fresh, new and witty. I'm liking it so far. "

" It was a decent supernatural romance. Very slow start, but about halfway in I got invested without even realizing it and couldn't seem to put it down. If only it were that way from the very beginning. The mythology was very interesting. "
