"In Sins of the Flesh it's final Soul Reaper son of Sektet Mal's turn to take a stab at solving the mystery behind the brutal - and supposedly impossible - death of his brother Lokan. While hunting for clues Mal vies with Calliope Kane to gain possesion of a man who may have the answers Mal seeks and the answers the daughter of Asset seek to surpress. Calliope's hatred of Soul Reapers is much more than the bad blood between their patron gods - Callipoe's reasons are far more personal. As adversaries, Calliope and Mal come together with violence - both are smart, deadly and determined - and though Calliope gets the best of their first fight, Mal just treats her vicious treatment of him as foreplay. But because of Calliope's past, her initial interactions with Mal took enemy lovers theme to almost defcon level making it hard to transition from Calliope's initial enmity to love when the romance had to give way to the main story pieces needed to solve the murder, past pair cameos, and the big reveal of who dunnit and why. While Sins of the Flesh does finish off the mystery, when I read the last few pages I was not sure whether this was the final book in the series - it didn't seem like it should be but I had heard that this was a trilogy. My confusion was cleared up by checking out Silver's website, there are two more Otherkin books coming in 2011. Good news. I have really been enjoying Silver's Otherkin series, I love that the heroines of these books are as dangerous as the heroes and I have been fascinated by the bits of death myths from various cultures that Silver has woven into the story and will definitely be on the lookout for Silver's next offerings."

" My favorite of the series so far and I think it has much to do with the hero (Mal). That being said, the truth about this series' mystery is revealed in this book, so reading them in order is A MUST (I hated book 2, though). And it's basically a not-so-shocking-in-hindsight SHOCKER which leaves us with one of Eve Silver's signature cliffhangers (she's GOOD at them, too). I was DEFINITELY left intrigued and can't wait to read the next book in this series! "

" I'm not a huge fan of this series, but I had to keep reading it because of the under lying plot with Lokan. I liked this better than the first two. I just wish there had been a couple more pages. I enjoy getting a little bit of afterglow, but that was lacking in this book. "

" At first it was a little meh, then it picked up and I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed the fact that the main female character is strong on her own, it isn't "Oh look at me this helpless female". She enjoys sex as much as she enjoys speaking her mind. "

" I was surprised by this one, as it isn't one I picked out myself--a friend sent it to me. But, was pretty darn good and though there appears to be the 3rd book in a series, I didn't need to read them to understand what was going on here. "

" It was a decent supernatural romance. Very slow start, but about halfway in I got invested without even realizing it and couldn't seem to put it down. If only it were that way from the very beginning. The mythology was very interesting. "

" I love Eve Silver's work, and her new trilogy is by far no exception. She's created a world loaded with interesting, unique characters. None of them are wholly good, and none wholly evil (well, maybe a few). I can't wait to read the next. "

" Not bad, it just isn't holding my interest. I am not really a fan of so many pov's and the villain is reminding me too much of one in a series that I also don't really care for. Anyhow, the premise is creative and I like the main characters but not enough to keep reading through all the rest. "
