Publisher Description

Shakespeare's notorious 'Scottish play' describes how ambition, lust for power, and the prophecy of three evil witches transform a brave nobleman into a traitor and murderous tyrant. Retold by award-winning author Leon Garfield and read by Simon Russell Beale - who has spent many seasons with the RSC in such plays as The Tempest, King Lear, and Richard III - this powerful reinterpretation will delight both those who know and love the works of Shakespeare and those who have yet to discover them.
