" One of the best middle-books-of-a-trilogy I've ever read. Kept my attention the whole time. There was, however, a little too much in the sphere of politics for my liking. Gimme blood! "

" Awesome book. If you read the first one ( which I recomended) then you absolutely need to read this one. It just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait to get my hands on the next one. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Lauren McDonnell | 2/1/2014

" maybe because i understand the geo-political landscape better and am more familiar with the characters and their relation to each other, but i found this one to be much better than the first. "

" Great book. Looking forward to reading the final book in the series. "

" I don't think that I could have asked for a better continuation to the series. The characters continued to grow from the last book, and many of the characters had no idea where the others were or what they were doing. Most assumed that the others were dead even though the reader knew that they were alive. It was nice to see an author manage to keep all of the story lines straight, without making it easier by everyone knowing all. "

" This is book 2 of The Night Angel trilogy. I was eager to start this book because of the ending in the last, but it was a little slow in the beginning. And then all of a sudden it gets interesting and I'm done with the book. Awesome series. Highly recommended. I think I have discovered my genre. "

" I don't know why I keep reading this series. The characters are underdeveloped and have completely obscure motivations, the plot twists are contrived, and there is a stupid gender essentialism throughout the book. It's not even trashy enough to file under that category. "

" Loads of fun. Great series! "

" I enjoyed this book, but not as much as I enjoyed the first in the trilogy. In this book, far more so than in the first book, the jumping point-of-view in the storytelling is threw me off a bit. I think Weeks does it a lot more often in this one. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Caline | 7/3/2013

" Came into this book straight from book 1 and couldn't help feeling the despair of the situation. Yet couldn't help but hope. Couldn't put it down. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Jacob Feit | 6/12/2013

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Elizabeth | 12/18/2012

" Shadow's edge was quite good. The author's style in these is still not top on my list but I like the story and the characters. This was more enjoyable to read than the first book and I am definitely looking forward to the next. "
