Kori Daniels is a shadow-walker, able to travel instantly from one shadow to another. After weeks of confinement for betraying her boss, she's ready to break free of the Tower syndicate for good. But Jake Tower has one final job for Kori, one chance to secure freedom for herself and her sister, Kenley, even if it means taking it from someone else.

The job? Recruit Ian Holt - or kill him.

Ian's ability to manipulate the dark has drawn interest from every syndicate in the world, most notably an invitation from Jake Tower. Though he has no interest in organized crime, Ian accepts the invite, because he's on a mission of his own. Ian has come to kill Tower's top Binder: Kori's little sister.

Amid the tangle of lies, an unexpected thread of truth connecting Ian and Kori comes to light. But with opposing goals, they'll have to choose between love and liberty.

" I have liked Rachel Vincent's other books and was quite eager to read this series. I started with the second in the series, cos that was the one found first but they are stand alone's. I like the urban criminal element in this book and the fact that Vincent is not afraid to tackle the difficult issues that might apply to females in this type of environment. I'd try it if you like this author because its very different from her other books. A refreshing change! "

" 4.5 stars! I'm apparently cover-challenged, and when I picked this darlin' up at my friendly, neighboring library, I didn't realise it was the second book in the unbound series (my judgment obviously clouded by the pwetty colors in the pwetty cover). Still, I loved it as much as I love Rachel Vincent's amazing head. "

" Let me start by saying that at no time while reading this novel did I realise that it was the second in a series. I thought it was a one off and was impressed how quickly you were thrown into the deep end of this world. I actually feel a little disappointed that it isn't a one off now I think about it. Anyway this is the story of Kori and Ian though it is a lot more then a romance novel. It has an interesting plot, a good concept for the world it is set in and enough action to keep it interesting. I enjoyed it quite a lot. Three and a half stars. "

" Fast, fun read with lots of darkness and conflict (and shadow). If there were half stars, I'd give this one 4.5 because it's even better than Blood Bound. It's got a great story line and many great characters we met in the first book. Can Rachel Vincent do even better with the next one? I'm looking forward to finding out! "

" Following a series with different characters usually annoys me but I found myself enjoying this. Good surprise. "

" Love the unbound series! Starts out a little slow but great book when the action starts. I loved that she pulled in the characters from book one while developing Koris story. Wonder who book three will be about???? "

" Best Book Ever! A little dark for a Rachel Vincent novel but well done! I liked the story, all of the characters the good guys and the bad guys. I didn't want it to end - now for the hard part - I wait for the next one, ticktock.ticktock.ticktock.ticktock...*sigh* "
