"This book was not as enjoyable as previous books that I have read by Brenda Joyce. It just seemed as if she rushed through the story. There was not as much chemistry between the main characters, and she focused too much on the history portion." — Cynthia (4 out of 5 stars)

" This book had its moments. "
" This book I would say is not one of Brenda Joyce's best. It started off very slow that it took a while to really get to the climax of the book. After the half way mark is when it started to get really good and I couldn't put it down. Hopefully the next book in this series is better then this one. "
" Great book, really enjoyed it, love how the same kinda basic plot, romance wise, can be so different and unique with each author, characters, and setting! "
" This book has it moments from the heartwarming to sometimes dull and expected. Not as intriguing as one would have expected from a spy regency romance. Would have appreciated the story better if the characters had more depth. "
" Brenda Joyce is so good at passionate romance but this book is not typical of her work. The heavy excursion into Revolutionary France and British politics of the time is always a welcome subject to me but not when it overwhelms the passion between the characters. "
" The beginning was entertaining and mildly sexy, then I lost interest. Julianne is naive and unsympathetic. Dominic is untrustworthy and though alpha and sexy, unforgiving. "
" Surprised by this Brenda Joyce book. Hard to finish, I didn't care about h/h, Julianne annoyed me, not developed enough for me. "
" good book, I had trouble putting it down, but not as good as the deadly series. those are my favorite. "
