Some of the most fascinating journals and letters to have been written in the last three hundred years. All performed by leading actors in a dramatised setting with music & soundtrack.

In 1911 Captain Robert Falcon Scott went back to the huge, frozen wasteland of the Antarctic with the intention of reaching the South Pole, by a long and terribly arduous trek across the ice.

On finally reaching the pole Scott and his comrades were devastated to find that they had been beaten by the Norwegian explorer Amundsen. " had to skip some parts, too much info about his marriage etc which I found pretty boring! getting through this enormous book was a feat of endurance, some parts of it were great but I didn't need to know every tiny detail of scott's life. "

" I read this on a day by day basis, traveling with Scott on the journey. I was impressed with Scott's writing. Loved the parts that took place near McMurdo station, since I could envision them. Overall, it's an epic journey that is well documented.........highly recommended. "
