Publisher Description

Most of us worry about not having enough money to retire well, and therefore it's easy to become preoccupied with stock portfolios, 401(k) balances, and savings options. Retire Happy: What You Can Do Now to Guarantee a Great Retirement provides the perspective - and financial information - that all of us stressing about money seek. After all, a sensible financial plan is key to a relaxed retirement.

But happiness in retirement isn't just about wealth. It comes as much from being satisfied with the rest of your life - which can start now. Retire Happy advises how to estimate real retirement needs in order to create a workable savings and investment plan, but, additionally, it offers tips on how to balance financial concerns with other factors such as maintaining an active social life, cultivating new interests or keeping existing ones, staying physically active, revitalizing family relationships, spending more time with spouses, partners and friends, and even setting aside time for leisure trips and travel.

The audiobook includes commentary by the authors and an eGuide with resources.

" This book give a nice coverage of the broad aspects of retirement. I think if more time were spent on finding activities you enjoy and pursuing them it would be more valuable. There's a lot of text spent on debt management, which didn't particularly interest me. "
