Religion is central to the lives of millions of people around the globe. But how did the great religions begin, and what do their followers believe? " This densely woven and rich study of the world's religions was deeply moving, educational, and an eye opening account of the universal yet unique ways humans search for meaning and something beyond the here and now of life on earth. Delving into the history of each religion and outlining the basic tenents while focusing on understanding, not judgement, this book is a meaningful and accessible resource to all. "

" Loved this book. Explains the core beliefs & brief history of the world's great religions. The author refrained from judgements and minutiae detail, providing just enough of an introduction to peak interest in further study-someday, maybe.... "

" Great book all around, and I liked that it focused on the essence of belief of each religion rather than practices associated with them. I will say I felt like it switched gears a bit in the Judaism section and seemed less compelling after that point, but overall I learned quite a bit and really liked the way the topic was presented. "
