"I liked this book. I read it for a Women's Book Club at church, but when the meeting came around, I was too sick to go:( I was really bummed. BUT, I enjoyed the book just the same. It focused me on listening for God in my daily life and encouraged me to get more into the Word. Highly recommended! "

Quotes

  • “Perfecting Willow Creek’s evangelical methods took time and hard work, as this smoothly written book makes plain, and the payoff is a genuinely nurturing Christian community for an impressive number of persons—a worthwhile accomplishment the Hybels describe with neither vainglory nor false modesty.”

" This is basically a biography of Bill Hybels and the creation of Willow Creek Community Church. It is quite a story and it is told in an easy to read, friendly style. It is amazing to read this story and understand better the beginnings and some of the motivations of Bill Hybels. "

" This book proves that anything good that has come out of Willow Creek has been the work of God, and certainly not that of Bill and Lynne... "

" Fantastic book. Pastor Hybels is open and reveals much of himself in this book. Lots to think about as we journey with Christ through life and the growth that certainly comes along with it. "

" This was our all church study book for Lent. I was mainly annoyed by Mr. Hybels. The first part of the book was ok, and I liked the practical chapter the best. The last part of the book I could take or leave. "

" This is a great book about following the promptings of God. Full of stories, a few too many for my tastes, but throughout you find Hybels expert and practical teaching. I appreciated the amount of openness he demonstrated throughout. Great book. "

" Love this book - same subject as "Walking With God" by Tim Eldridge, but much more practical. It demonstrates how extremely possible it is to hear form God every day and how much our Christian walk depends on God's direction. "
