The old man hears them before he sees them, the three boys coming over the hill, disturbing the peace by the river where he's fishing. He smells the gun oil too, too much oil on a brand-new shotgun. These aren't hunters, they're rich kids who don't care about the river and the fish and the old man. Or his dog. Red is the name of the old man's dog, his best friend in the world. " A revenge story that I thought was going to be harder than it was Rather tame for Mr Ketchum. banged it out in a day "

" This was a quick read, because of shortness and not because of very good entertainment. I don't seem to warm up with this author. It's the third book that I read by him and they were all kinda 'meh'. I kinda liked the ending though, which is a bit unsettling though (one shouldn't like this ending, should they?). "

" This book reminded me a lot of my grandfather. He always said that anyone that messed with his dog was destined to have a bad day. The man in this book gave a little bit of my grandfather back to me :) "

" A good book. This story is tame compared to his others and a really good story about justice. No real-cringe worth moments. Though the second story inside the book "The Passenger" was better. "
