Publisher Description

The fifth screamingly funny novel from David Walliams, number one best seller and fastest growing children's author in the country. Hot on the heels of best-selling Gangsta Granny comes another hilarious, action-packed and touching novel - the story of a little girl called Zoe.

Things are not looking good for Zoe. Her stepmother Sheila is so lazy she gets Zoe to pick her nose for her. The school bully Tina Trotts makes her life a misery - mainly by flobbing on her head. And now the evil Burt from Burt's Burgers is after her pet rat! And guess what he wants to do with it? The clue is in the title....

From the author that is being called 'a new Roald Dahl', Ratburger is not to be missed!

"After watching Mr Stink at Christmas we started this book. I did enjoy it, but there are quite a lot of similarities between the two stories. It was funny and scary in parts, I think Walliams is trying to be the new Roald Dahl which is a good aim, but he has a way to go yet."

" Hmmmm.....i have now read all of David Walliams books with my children, and have really enjoyed all of them, Mr Stink and Gansta Gran both had me in tears, but sorry to say i feel a bit deflated about this one. The characters never really developed for me and i found it hard to read with enthusiasm. My 8 year old enjoyed the gross bits - but i wondered if the ending was a bit much? i won't include any spoilers other than this will put you off burger vans for life! I hope Davids next book is back to his usual brilliant best. "
