The Fourth Chapter in C. L. Wilson’s Breathtaking Epic Tale of Magic, Passion, and Destiny

Two lovers, two hearts, one soul.

Only joined can they be truly complete.

Only joined can they survive the darkness.

The Fey King Rain and his truemate Ellysetta share a passionate love unrivaled in the history of their world—and a forbidden power that made them outcasts from the Fading Lands. As war looms and the evil mages of Eld threaten to rip their world asunder, they must fight to defend the very kingdom and people who reviled them.

Only by trusting completely in their love—and in themselves—can Rain and Ellysetta hope to defeat the gathering forces of Darkness. But it will take more than the strength of their devotion to endure. They must unlock the secrets of the past and find the courage to embrace the dangerous destiny that awaits them. Only they can save their world, but that victory might cost them their lives.

"I really like the heroine, the premise, the plot, just about everything in the series. I will be sad to read the last book. Hopefully, the author will continue the world in a related series (or this series!)…that would be cool!! "

Quotes

  • “Another exciting addition to the fantastic Tairen Soul series set in the Fading Lands…This is a terrific series, and I have loved the world and world-building throughout.”

    — Fresh Fiction
  • “Once again, I found myself not wanting to put this book down…These books are more than just a romance series. They are more than just fantasy. They encompass the fight of good against evil, a vision of a bright world, the power of faith and love and much more. To place a single genre on these books do them a disservice as they take on a life of their own and deserve a place along side Tolken’s Lord of the Rings.”

    — Night Owl Romance (4 ½ Stars, reviewer top pick)
  • “I couldn’t put this book down! The fourth installment in the series is awesome. C. L. Wilson jumps right back from where she left off in King of Sword and Sky and weaves a brilliant, complex story where she reveals yet another facet in the rich world of Eloran.”

    — ParaNormal Romance
  • “Queen of Song and Souls is another amazing addition to this series. You will smile, cry, and for many scenes hold your breath and dare not move until you know the outcome. The fifth and final book of this incredible series will be one of my most anticipated books of 2010.”

    — Smexy Books
  • “This book is jam-packed with action, betrayal, and, of course, love and romance. If you have not read this series, you are definitely missing out on some of the best books to come along in a very long time.”

    — The Good, the Bad, and the Unread

" Although I love this series, this seemed like a filler book. Not enough to stand on it's own; not enough to finish the series. You must read this before reading the final book however. There just didn't seem to be much to it. "

" 3.5 stars - the other 3 were better. But this one was good for what it essentially is: a set-up for book 5. Wilson brings all the storylines to a head at the end of this one. There is so much going on that I am skeptical of her being able to finish everything with just one more book. All in all, I am in love with this series, but it will be hard to wait for the next book. " I like the story of Rain and Elysetta, but I get bored with Celierian politics. Yes, things work that way, but for some reason reading about idiots drive me insane. The queen and the eld mage are the two that slow down the story for me. I get their necessity, but it's just not for me. "

About C. L. Wilson

C. L. Wilson wrote her first story at age six, and though she took a number of long detours during her life, she never gave up her lifelong dream of being published. Many years, hundreds of false starts, and five completed novels later, she received “the Call” in October 2006 and sold her epic fantasy romance, Tairen Soul, at auction. Wilson’s debut novel spent two weeks on the USA Today bestseller list, and her subsequent novels have gone on to hit a variety of lists, including USA Today, New York Times, and Publishers Weekly. When not writing, she enjoys relaxing with her husband and three children in sunny Florida and daydreaming of a world where people exercise in their sleep and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream is a fat-burning food.
