Alexis Ames has a life full of promise...but not all promises can be kept. When Alexis Ames is attacked by creatures that can't be real, she decides it's time she learns who she really is, with or without the help of her mother, who guards their family's secrets closely. After meeting the inhumanly attractive, multi-talented Tristan Knight, however, Alexis retreats behind her façade of normalcy...until she discovers he's not exactly normal either. Then their secrets begin to unravel.

Their union brings hope and promise to her family's secret society, the Angels' army, and to the future of mankind. But it also incites a dangerous pursuit by the enemy - Satan's minions and Tristan's creators. After all, Alexis and Tristan are a match made in Heaven and in Hell.

" I succumbed to Amazon's Kindle Deal of the Day and bought Promise after reading glowing reviews from readers. Somehow I missed the part where this is YA/Teen lit. The story is interesting, but slow moving in terms of doling out the big reveal. Ultimately, this is a teen-to-early-young-adult read. I'm too old and far too jaded to read Tristan and Alexis' declarations of love without smirking. Shame on me -- but there it is. This is a good book for the right demographic because it deals with issues of good vs. evil, heritage, redemption and young love. I can't fault the writing or the subject matter. I just don't relate to the angst of a 19-yr.-old. I'd put this book in the same category as the Twilight series--and that was a huge success (but I didn't relate to it, either!) "

" Great book! Action, romance, demons, love, family. A definate page-turner. It made me cry and laugh and cringe and whoop for joy. I can't wait to read the second in the series. "

" A different Angels and Demons book. Quick read. Likable characters. Good story! "

" For those of you on the fence about reading a self-pub book - this is the place to start. One of the best in the Paranormal Romance category. Strong characters, excellent (and edited!) writing and absolutely amazing story. Honestly, if you're looking for a book to read, put this at the top of your list. "
