Publisher Description

A galaxy of friends, lovers, relatives and theatre acolytes sparkles around stage star Garry Essendine like bubbles in fine champagne. While Garry struggles to plan his upcoming trip to Africa, his elegant London flat is invaded by a love-struck ingenue, an adulterous producer, and a married seductress - not to mention Garry's estranged wife, Liz, and the memorable Roland Maule, an aspiring playwright who is quite, quite mad.

"I'd really like to give this play 3.5 stars but since I can't do that, I'll be generous with 4! Great play - lots of clever, funny bits - but perhaps a little too verbose in parts. It demands a lot of the audience as well as the actors, but that's no bad thing."

" This play is not very fun to read... (hence my two-star rating) but we performed this at the local community theater and it turned out to be hysterical. It is very character driven, and when it comes to life it is really funny. :) "
