"This was a tremendous story! Deaver's' story begins when Michael Hrubek escapes from a mental institution, and follows the separate tales of Hrubeck, the police, the hospital staff, and Hrubeck's intended target as the chase is on. Not only were all storylines interesting, but the ending was great too! Looking forward to one day hearing that this book will be made into a movie!"

" This book was a bit of a surprise. I expected it to be well written, as usual with Deaver, but I was expecting a detective sort of story. This was more of a suspense crime-in-action sort of thing. Every time I thought I had things figured out the plot twisted slightly and the end result was both surprising and satisfying! "

" Although I didn't enjoy this as much as Devils Teardrop it was still a very good thriller with good characters and a twisty storyline, the only downside was that it was a bit slower in parts but it still pushed you to finish it so I can forgive Deaver for the odd breather "
