Publisher Description

Barrie i 1904. Denne udgave af eventyret om Peter Pan er genfortalt af Bjarne Reuter, sådan som han selv har oplevet det som dreng.

"Most people say they always like the books better than most movies, when it comes to books such as, Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings. I, for one, normally disagree, considering I live with a film major as a brother, but for this story I agree. The book version of this, in my opinion, is better than the Disney movie version. One reason is that the movie versions I have seen has never once showed Wendy as an adult. They all pretty much just ignore the last chapter of the book and leave it out. I just personally do not think the movies grab a lot of the concepts of the book and just go for the action and adventure parts. There is just nothing like a true children's story, fairy tale, presented in a classic way."

" Totally misrepresented by Disney, you'd be better off watching Hook to get a grasp of the real Pan. It is probably a better story for adults than children with plenty of humorous irony and wonderful characterizations of the oddities of adult humans. "

" This was a great choice of a read though not spellbinding as the tale itself is very familiar it was great to have the un "Disney" version. Much like other children's classics it is more dark than we were raised to believe it. I would recommend it for any Pan lover. "

" Aside from the stereotypes and biases and prejudices and bullying, this was a very fun read. Of course knew the story already, but I did not expect Barrie to be so witty in his writing. "

" I adore the language of this story and how Barrie manages to weave from storyline to thought-provoking exposition with such ease. I still like to pretend that, "if I'm very lucky" I can really see it all in that moment when I just about to fall asleep. It's a magical story. "

" I was not as fascinated with this as I was with the pan mo9vies and plays. Barrie seems to get sidetracked often and goes on crazy tangents. He does have a lovely way with imagery, however and is wonderfully imaginative. Be cautioned with young readers that there is quite a bit of gore. "
