Publisher Description

In the whole Red State/Blue State debacle, it seems that, lately, the liberal denizens of comedy have been crowding the stage. But we're pleased to report that the red-staters have found themselves a voice in one Jimmy Shubert.

A man's man with a conservative outlook and an utterly pragmatic sensibility, Shubert is ready to take on all the ACLU wonks and Green Party members you can throw at him, because he's determined to come out fighting - and win. Clearly drawing on the great tradition of snappy one-liners, Shubert weaves these hilarious outbursts into occasionally thoughtful, but always raucous, stories, holding his own, riffing on both politics and the battles of every day life.

He easily combines the instant gratification of a punch line with the hilarity of trying to find a justification for that line. Shubert has the audience in the palm of his hand while he works them over. If you've ever wanted to hear someone take on what seems like endless liberal comedic rants, Jimmy Shubert might just be your best bet. Like a modern-day Archie Bunker, Shubert comes out swinging on Pandemonium.

"Amazing! Couldn't finish it fast enough.. in book two of this trilogy, the reader is taken on a wild ride between two opposing factions and the true destruction that is left behind from the "war". Told from two perspectives, the "then" and "now", we get to learn more about Lena's true endurance and strength. Not to mention loyalties... Got to say, kind of fell in love with Julian!!!"

" Second in trilogy. I usually only read the first book in a series, but I really want to know how this story ends. Lots of twists and action. "

" Another dystopian series, this is about when society cures people of the disease, love. Really entertaining and enlightening. Loved this series! "

" I enjoyed this book; however, i don't think it's teen appropriate. It says the f*** word a few times and has a teen undressed moment like the first book. It also casually brings up gay rights too. These were just a few short moments in a long book, but i don't like the casualness of such adult themes in a teen book. "

" This was a very good sequel. One major event was predictable from the very beginning, but I still enjoyed reading it and yelling at her, hoping I was wrong. I really liked how each chapter switched between then and now. "

" Fast-paced, but patchy and not quite fleshed out. Also, there are far too many instances of coincidentally perfect timing. "
