Allen was a slave to his job as a corporate executive. His marriage was in shambles, and life just seemed to be a day-to-day grind just to survive. There wasn't one aspect of his life he didn't question or have issues with. Now, on top of that, a doctor visit reveals that life as he knew it was over; he was dying. Allen remembers the horrible death his best friend endured from cancer and decides he end will be different.
