"This remains my favorite of the Gor novels. Norman did a very good job in transplanting human societies from Earth to Gor, and here we have Gorean Mongols. I found Norman's prose to be refreshingly simple and straightforward, and this is just a great, great story. Not sexist. "

" I really liked this book. It involved a new place and type of people which would be heard of in books to come. There was lots of fighting and competitions which made this book very good. I would recommend it for any who likes a good fantasy book but is fine with some mature content "
