Publisher Description

“Outrageous, heartwarming, wonderfully sensual…I loved it!” —Jayne Anne Krentz

“For sheer fun, nobody beats Nobody’s Baby But Mine.”  —Detroit Free Press

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune writes, “Next to Tracy and Hepburn, no one does romantic comedy better than Susan Elizabeth Phillips.” For proof, you need to look no further than Nobody’s Baby But Mine. This classic comic love story from perennial New York Times bestseller Phillips unites a beautiful, brainy scientist desperate to be a mom with a brawny, smoking hot jock who, though handsome enough to father her child, is nowhere near as stupid as she wants her baby’s daddy to be. Emily Giffin, Jane Green, and Rachel Gibson fans take note: when it comes to delivering delightfully funny, supremely sexy contemporary women’s fiction, nobody but nobody is better than Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

"This was really a cute book. 34 year old Jane wants a baby from 36 year old Cal and chooses not to tell him. The story evolves from there and is a fun journey. I will tell you that Cal is a bit of a whiner. His concerns are well founded but frankly I got tired of hearing about them by the time he gets his head straightened out. The HEA is predictable but fun."

" The basic premise is that this brianiac chick with limited social skills is so desperate to havea baby that she agrees to be a "birthday present" for a football player. She does get the result she is after, but when he finds out he forces her to get married to him. They then move to his hometown where they have to work out their differences--with a little help from his family and friends.[return]A pretty predictable "marriage of convience" romance, way too unbelievable and focused on all the wrong things. Good for an escape from reality. "

" It was a good book that I couldn't put down, but the romance in it really wasn't believeable with the animosity between the two characters. Also, I had heard that this particular book in the series was beyond hiliarious, but I only chuckled slightly once or twice. I still enjoyed the novel, though. Susan Elizabeth Phillips is a very talented writer :) "

" I'm pretty new to Susan Elizabeth Philips, but I Love her! Her book(s) made me laugh out loud and cry; I Love It. Her background characters are pretty interesting (the parents, or friends ect.), I actually read it rather then skip over them. This so far is my favorite work of hers "

" Of the three books in this series that I have read to this point, this one is the best by far. Of course the plot is preposterous, but the writing is so light-hearted, filled with snappy dialog and great leading and supporting characters, and at several points it is laugh-out-loud funny. "
