A peaceful Minnesota town, where crime is something that just doesn’t happen, is about to face its worst nightmare. A young boy disappears. There are no witnesses, no clues—only a note, cleverly taunting, casually cruel. Has a cold-blooded kidnapper struck? Or is this the reawakening of a long-quiet serial killer?

A tough-minded investigator on her first, make-or-break case… A local cop who fears that big-city evils have come to stalk his small-town home… Together they are hunting for a madman who knows no bounds, to protect a town that may never feel safe again.

“Tami Hoag is the queen of the crime story.” —New York Post

" I first read this book sometime in 95-96 but after reading the Oak Knoll series recently, wanted to reread Night Sins and finally read Guilty as Sin. I enjoyed this book just as much the 2nd time around, even if most of the story did come back to me and I knew how things would end. I enjoy Tami Hoag's books. She has a great writing style and adds the details and nuances that make characters complete. "

" I'm SO in the middle with this...Tami Hoag is an amazing writer, with her chilling story idea and detailed caharacters. But with dragging chapters and random sex scenes, I feel I'm being tortured (and not in a good way!) just to find out who did it! "

" Ever since I first read this book for the first time about 6-7 years ago this has always been my favorite Tami Hoag book especially because I enjoy the intensity of interaction between the Mitch Holt and Megan O'Malley. The book has flaws for sure, but overall it's a great page-turner. "
