Lots and lots of current pop culture references will make this seem dated in a couple years, but I can see the appeal for kids right now, and the messages about not judging people by appearances and being true to yourself are good ones. " I love this book!! It was really good!! I like how the stories jump back from Melody to Frankie etc and how the story was set in a modern day high school but was lurking with mythical creatures! Similar concept to Beautiful Creatures, another book I love :) "
