About Michael Bond

Michael Bond is the author of all the books about Paddington Bear. His first book, A Bear Called Paddington, was published in 1958. In 1997, he was awarded the Order of the British Empire for services to children’s literature. In 2007, he was made an honorary doctor of letters by Reading University. Paddington’s creator is still writing and lives in London, England, not far from Paddington Station, where it all began.

Bill Wallis has performed in over two hundred radio series and plays, while among his numerous productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company are The Alchemist, The Master Builder, and Twelfth Night.
