Publisher Description

She is a former child beauty-pageant contender. He is a hard-living movie producer. She walks away from a plane crash without so much as a scratch. He comes away from a near-death experience with a unique, vivid plan.

She, refusing to spend one more day peddling herself for cheesy TV sitcom parts, disappears. He turns his back on a hedonistic life making blockbuster action flicks with names like Mega Force.

Shedding their self-made identities, each sets out on an uncharted course across the Gap-clogged, strip-mall landscape of Los Angeles, searching for the one thing - love - that neither has ever really known, but that they now think they just might, actually, desperately want. How could they not find each other?

"Shaping up to be a great take on L.A./Hollywood D-list celebrity life. Screwball comedy that's one part Down in Out in Beverly Hills, one part Little Miss Sunshine, and one part Lost. It's really funny.Very inventive and energetic prose. Loved it. "

" You need to be in the right mood for this outrageous white-trash-meets-corporate-greed American fable. On certain days, it's simply beyond the pale...other days, it's firey, hilarious and righteous in satisfying doses. One thing is certain: it's NEVER boring. "

" Errr I like the way Douglas Coupland writes, particularly in this novel. It reminds me of the way I dream, things that make no sense coming together to make sense. It's lovely. I really rather liked this a lot. "
