Listener Opinions

" This series is always good -- a real "cozy". The characters are like old friends to me. "

" Another good episode in the Miss Julia series. Not the best, but not the worst either. Miss Julia gets up to a few funny activities... "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Patricia Ledoux | 1/9/2014

" This is my second Miss Julia book, reading completely out of order. I listened to both on tape and find the reader is what makes the story delightful. I am able to believe all the nonsense in these stories because the reader makes me believe Miss Julia herself is telling me this story. I am not sure reading the book would give me the same satisfaction. I highly suggest the audio version of this series over the written word - something I almost never do. I am now listening to a third Miss Julia book and am enjoying that one just as much. "

" Another Wild ride with the Miss Julia and her merry band of characters! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Bonnie | 12/31/2013

" Miss Julia's adventures are a fun read, and I hadn't read one in a long time. This was pretty typical, but the narration was not the best I've heard, so that made the audio less likable. Miss Julia tries to save the courthouse from demolition and console her friends whose husbands have mysteriously disappeared, all while keeping a jealous eye on her own husband. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Brenda | 12/29/2013

" As usual, cute story, but I must have been in the mood for something different. Usually I chuckle through Miss Julia books. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Maureen Cole | 12/18/2013

" I listened to this on a playaway which I use for my walks as they are very light. I also tend to listen to light stories while I walk as I know I will be distracted a lot. I should pay attention to my surroundings, after all. This was definitely light so it fit that requirement. I enjoyed the first half of the story, but it definitely petered out for me. I doubt that I will read or listen to any more of these-one was enough. "
