" Not my favorite book in the series. I was expecting a lot more after reading the others in the series. This book was quite boring for me personally.I am a fast reader and I just could not get into this book. Maybe it was because it started out with Jack and Schuyler on the run and on there adventure and quest and the book then went in a whole other direction and then when came back to Jack and Schuyler. " A little bit of a let down! I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the others. It was kind of slow? Maybe it was the different format of the narrative. Instead of each chapter being a different character there were 4 different "parts". Plus there are still so many holes and things that just don't seem to quite line up. It seems like the story in this didn't have anything to do with the past ones really. Plus, we still don't know anything about the Van Allen Legacy really! And that was the last book! Do these titles even make sense? Misguided Angel? Apparently that's supposed to be Allegra on the cover (first of all, really?, she's supposed to be blonde). If she's supposed to have something to do with the Misguided Angel then I don't get it. Also, I missed hearing about Bliss. And I just have to say, I still totally hate Mimi. Even seeing her more "human side" in the last two books can not make me get over how freaking annoying she is. Oh well. Guess I'm going back to checking these out from the library rather than purchasing them on my kindle! "

" Sorry, I'm getting tired of this series. I would recommend the first 2 or 3 books in this series, as it presents an interesting twist on Vampires. However, de la Cruz seems to be ebbing into more directions every book. This time, we have a half-child of Satan, a Peruvian order of vampires that supposedly guard a gate to Hell and a new Venator from Tailand! What next?? I think I'll call it quits. "

" The more I read De La Cruz the more I realize I'm WAITING to like her stories better. Plot development? So-so. Easy of read? eh- not so clear and concise. But her character development? Fantastic. I simply can't seem to connect to her work. If this wasn't a series that I had been reading for 3 years I would put it aside. So this gets 3 stars. "

" I felt like this book was just to fill the time inbetween the 5th and the 7th book. It was very short and seemed like a side story to the main story of the series. I think it would've been better to add this book to the next. Obviously they wanted to get as much money out of the series as possible. "
